South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island in Southwest Florida will redefine the luxury resort experience with our multi-million dollar rebirth. Previously known as South Seas Plantation, the resort is nestled away on more than 330 acres in the Gulf of Mexico and offers a secluded island escape with a sophisticated northern tip pampering guests with private pool club, elegant Yacht Harbour and exclusive accommodations located at land's end. Charming trolleys move guests across the island for easy access to signature South Seas activities and renovated accommodations. Captiva pastimes include a new Gulf-front Executive Golf Course-- created by architect Chip Powell as one of the Top Five Short Courses in the world.

South Seas Island Resort is nestled among lush mangroves with more than half of the plantation-style resort a dedicated wildlife preserve and estuary. World-renowned sailing and fishing, seaside golf and discovering barrier islands are among the unforgettable experiences at South Seas Island Resort.

Resort Fee:

The resort has mandatory $11.10 resort fee per person, per day. This includes: Use of fitness center, beach services, daily newspaper delivery.

As of 01 JAN 07, the resort fee will increase to $12.00 per person, per day.

This Fee is NOT included in the rate and needs to be paid by the guests at check-out.

Rooms:

Harbourside Guestroom
Located at the prestigious North End, the Harbourside Guestrooms offer spacious, refreshing accommodations. From your open balcony, enjoy gorgeous views of one of the most beautiful areas of the resort with vistas of Pine Island Sound, million dollar yachts and sailboats. At the center of it all, these accommodations are a five minute walk to the beach, steps away to the golf course, restaurants, and the main pool with pool bar and Jacuzzi. The rooms feature a full bathroom (roman tub with shower and dressing area with granite double vanity sinks), table and chairs, DVD and CD Player, LCD flat screen wall mount television, ceiling fans, and an open balcony with water views.

Tennis Villa:

• One-Bedroom Villa
  From a large screened balcony, enjoy views of the courtyard and tennis facilities. Located at the south end of the resort behind the Reception Center, the Tennis Villas are a short walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops and markets, Conference Center and the Tennis Complex. The 780 square foot Villa, decorated in shade of blues echoing the Gulf, includes one separate bedroom with luxurious king, a full bathroom, living room with sleeper sofa, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. A home away from home feel is provided with accessible gas grills and coin operated laundry on ground level.
• Two-Bedroom Tennis Villa
  Great view of the courtyard and tennis facilities abound from the screened balcony of the Two Bedroom Tennis Villa. Located at the south end of the Resort behind the Reception Center, the Tennis Villas are a short walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops and markets, Conference Center and the Tennis Complex. The loft style, 1100 square foot Villa, decorated in shade of blues echoing the Gulf, includes two bedrooms with luxurious king in the master second story loft bedroom and 2 twin beds in the downstairs second bedroom. The Villa includes two full bathrooms, living room with sleeper sofa, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. Villa accommodates up to 6 guests.

Bayside Villa:

• One-Bedroom Villa
  From a large screened balcony, revel in tranquil views of the Pine Island Sound and a mangrove forest. Located at the south end of the resort behind the Reception Center, the Bayside Villas are a short walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops and markets, Conference Center and the Tennis Complex. The 800 square foot Villa, includes one separate bedroom with luxurious king, two full bathrooms, living room with sleeper sofa, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. A home away from home feel is provided with accessible gas grills and coin operated laundry on ground level. Villa accommodates up to four guests.

Beach Villa:

• Three-Bedroom Beach Villa
  Perfect for larger families or parties, the 3 Bedroom Beach Villas offer superior accommodations and vistas. Be drawn into island living by the spectacular views of Gulf of Mexico and the Island's 2.5 miles of sugar sand beaches that are just beyond the screened balcony. Situated at the South end of the Resort, these spacious Villas are walking distance to shops, restaurants, the Conference Center and the tennis courts also. All on the top floor, unique features like a rod iron spiral staircase leading to a 2nd floor loft bedroom with sitting area that overlooks the living room. Also on the first floor are master and second bedroom, dining area, full kitchen and two baths. Enjoy 1500 square feet of vacation dream home style living space and the best feature, an expansive beach that is just steps away.
• Two-Bedroom Beach Villa
  Ideal for families or larger parties, the 2 Bedroom Beach Villas offer the best of Captiva Island with amazing views and superior vacation home accommodations. Sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Island's 2.5 miles of shell-strewn sand beaches are waiting from a screened balcony. Situated at the South end of the Resort, these spacious Villas are just yards from the sandy beaches that are accessible by boardwalks. Enjoy 950+ square feet of home-style living space that includes two bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, living room, dining area, and a full kitchen. Luxurious, comfortable beds are includes a king or queen bedded master bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom. Great for longer stays, laundry facilities are available either with the unit or in the complex. Savor the fresh air at dedicated pools that are also equipped with gas grills, wonderful for cookouts of the day's catch! The Beach Villas accommodate up to six guests.
• One-Bedroom Beach Villa
  Treasure views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Island's 2.5 miles of sugary sand beaches from your screened balcony. Situated at the desirable South end of the Resort, the spacious Beach Villas are approximately 100 yards from the sandy beaches accessible by boardwalks. Enjoy 3 pools in the complex, complete with gas grills poolside. The perfect beach retreat offers 750+ square feet of living space and includes a separate bedroom with luxurious king or queen bed, full bathroom, living room, dining area, and a full kitchen. Coin operated laundry is at ground level or each bldg. The Villa accommodates up to four guests.

Marina Villa:

• Two-Bedroom Villa
  Perched on the scenic North end of the property, the 2 Bedroom Marina Villas look out over the bustling Main Marina or Bay from a large screened balcony. Within a short walking distance to most children's activities, game room, restaurants and about a five minute walk to the Gulf of Mexico, these Villas are a terrific option for families and larger parties. At 800 square feet, the Marina Villas offer two separate bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. This complex of Villas includes a pool and gas grills, making any time the time to plan a barbeque. For guests on longer stays, there is also a coin operated laundry by the pool. These comfortable, stylish Villas accommodate up to six guests.

Land's End:

• Two-Bedroom Villa:
  For those wanting the best, this is the ultimate location on the Resort. The 2 Bedroom Land's End Villas are situated at the North end, at the tip of Captiva, overlooking the Pine Island Sound, Golf Course, or may gave a scenic, distant view of the Gulf of Mexico. At 2100 square feet of living space, the Land's End Villas deliver style and substance. Featuring deluxe, luxurious decor and terrific outdoor views throughout, the Villas have master bedrooms with sumptuous king beds and second bedrooms with comfortable twin beds. Revel in two, large, full bathrooms (master bath has a Jacuzzi tub), spacious living and dining rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a screened balcony and open deck. Truly an upscale vacation retreat, these Villas that accommodate up to four are ideal for long stays and also feature washers and dryers in the units.
